This is for two types. The first part is for the valentine devils – namely those of you who have forgotten the date. 14th February. Ring any bells? Yes it’s VALENTINES DAY!!! Meaning that you have been living under a rock for the past month. Here’s a warning to you people, we ladies don’t take the words “I don’t believe in all that” very kindly! So you’ve forgotten? Time to get it rectified. I’m already here at the shop in Totnes – we don’t open until 9.30am but if you look pleadingly at me through the window, I might just let you in. We have some gorgeous pieces to offer – personally I’d love the “milk” you’ve just popped out for to turn out to be a piece of Vivienne Westwood jewellery, prices starting at £50, or a piece of luxury cashmere. There’s also the failsafe “Guilt Free Shopping Experience”, i.e. gift voucher, which we sell in any denomination. Come on in, we are geared up to getting you out of trouble and back into the good books
And secondly, to you valentine dreams. You woke up to roses and champagne and chocs and a date invitation tonight. Well then, better come on in and let us help you chose the perfect outfit. We have got girly tops like the gorgeous Odd Molly white folklore tunic with embroidery detailing, price £112, which would look fantastic over a pair of sultry Paige Denim jeans. Or alternatively, try a sexy and sophisticated dress like the abstract floral print 50’s style belted beauty from Farhi, £138 and guaranteed to make him (and you) dribble!
Whatever you need, come on in
See you soon, Laura x

It seems that spots are now the new stripes. At least if you are to believe Grazia’s latest fashion update. And of course we do. That is my weekly fashion bible to keep me informed of the latest looks and trends. Stripes is still a strong trend this season and we have quite a few online already from French Connection t-shirts, Farhi t-shirts and more traditional navy and white knitwear also from Farhi to gorgeously soft cashmere from Marilyn Moore in turqoise and cream just new in this week.
To hook on to the latest spotty trend you are in luck! New in this week is this monochrome black & white spotty tunic dress from Avoca Anthology already becoming a bestseller. Large funky spots to brighten your day. Wear it as a dress if you dare to bare your legs! Or whilst waiting for warmer weather slip it over a pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt then wrap a cardi over the top. This look will give you an instant feel of newness whilst keeping snug in the cold climate.

This is what’s in store for this week! All our favourite labels are arriving in full force and we are excitedly waiting with anticipation. Marilyn Moore and Avoca Anthology is arriving with bright coloured knitwear, nautical stripes, gorgeous cashmere cardigans as well as some lovely dresses and tunics in floral print fabrics and black and white spots.
Odd Molly is also adding to its collection this week and as always we can’t wait to try it all on and indulge in their very individual, quirky, folklore style of clothes. This week’s sees belted cardigans and little vintage style tunic blouses in floral, check and plain fabrics.
We love the feeling all those really feminine labels and the way they give a real fresh and colourful injection and can’t wait to share this with you. Come on spring & sunshine!

In the current climate we all love a bargain. But if you’re anything like me you’ll also be craving new season clothes in colours that nod towards the spring. Well – I have the perfect fix for both of these things. The stretch cardigan by Saint Tropez is a fabulous shape, with the wide ribbed waistband making it an incredible fit and the long sleeves keeping it suitable for our changeable weather. The deep v-neck makes it a great layer over practically anything, from jeans and a t-shirt to a formal evening dress. And the best part of it is that it’s available in five different colours – black, cornflower blue, khaki brown, lilac and grey mélange, and if you can’t decide between these, at just £19.95, maybe you don’t need to!
See you soon

We have taken one jersey skirt and put together seven different looks. This double layered grey melange skirt from Farhi at £94.50 with a deep ruched waistband is a fab piece to add to your wardrobe. This skirt could easily be worn all year around which means that you could even slip it on this weekend despite inches of snow covering most of the country. Just wear it over leggings or opaque tights to keep you warm.
The jersey skirt is very versatile and can be styled to suit any mood, any weather and for any occasion. Wear it to the gym with a sweat top and pumps. For a days shopping or lunch with the girls put some heels on and add comfy knitwear from French Connection, Jackpot or Great Plains for an effortless chic look which is very this season. And if you thought it impossible to sex up a jersey skirt you are wrong! Pull it up, belt it, add a fitted top and a pair of killer heels and you will look stylish and edgy for a night out.

I really don’t want to go home! Not something you expect to hear at the dark end of a chilly, damp day. But I really, really don’t. I mean why would I? I’m inside in the warm, surrounded by gleaming chandeliers and beautiful clothes begging to be tried on. Luckily, in the new hit of pieces that we’ve put out today, there is one item that may just talk me into venturing out into the soggy gloom, and that’s Noa Noa’s new floral mac in taupe and purple. At just £86, this cheerful piece in 100% coated cotton is a small price to pay for a warm, cosy walk home under it’s roomy hood.
See you soon

In the midst of all this snow and cold weather the new knitwear collection from Jackpot is brightening those dark winter days with colours of ’sorbet’, tulip red and light blue. You will find both cardigans and sweaters, long and short, stripe and plain. All this season’s key trends that you want in your wardrobe. Combine them and play with the different styles for different looks. Wear them on its own layered over a dress or wear them belted to emphasize your waist and to create a different look.
We love the ‘tulip red single button long tunic cardigan’ JP Gita £64, layered over the ’sorbet red multi-stripe fine knit top’ JP Lisann 586 £49. Find a thin tan leather belt and wrap around both of them leaving the long cardigan slightly open at the front. A strong runway look this season at the same time very wearable for us normal beings. Wear over jeans or a skirt.
More colourful knitwear its on its way to the site this week. This week will see Saint Tropez little cardigans in gorgeous cornflower blue and lavendar so keep clicking on.
