International Year of Natural Fibres
To raise the profile of natural fibres around th world the United Nations General Assembly has declared 2009 to be the International Year of Natural Fibres (IYNF).
Cotton – a natural, renewable and biodegradable resouce – represents about 80% of all natural fibres consumed and so s of huge importance to the international textile industry and the gloval economy. From field to fabric, cotton production employs hundreds of millions of people and accounts for hundreds of billions of dollars of economic activity.
At getmyfashion.com we are all in favor of natural fibres and majority of our clothes are made from cottons and other natural fibres, many labels even using organic cotton fabrics.
