Whatever the occasion, when it comes to coats and jackets, we’ve got you covered. Like us here at Diva in Totnes you may too have noticed that our wonderful British weather is not entirely sure what it wants to do at the moment. And that can make choosing an outfit for the day particularly tiresome, especially if it’s a special occasion like a wedding where you don’t want anything to bulky. So we’ve come up with a few little gems that will keep you covered no matter what the occasion.

First up from French Connection we have a fabulous olive green jacket, which has a hidden hood in a zipped collar and sleeves that can be worn full length or hooked up to elbow length for the warmer days. This little number is cinched in at the waist which gives a great shape, elegant enough even to wear with a full skirt.

For days where you might need to be a little more covered Sandwich brings us a lightweight knee length Mac in charcoal grey. Great for keeping the rain and wind at bay but still looking smart, and it’s light enough that you can easily fold it up and put it in your hand bag if the sun does begin to shine!  Weddings can often be problematic to dress for, and since a large percentage of them have at least 15 minutes (and more often closer to an hour) spent outside waiting for people to arrive and taking photos there is a good chance of getting cold in our unpredictable weather. But the last thing you want is to stick out like a sore thumb in a big coat in the photos, but looking like a goose ready for the oven isn’t a good look either! So why not try our lovely blue coat from Out Of Exile. It is finished with a tail of silk and buttoned straight down the centre with a silk trim, a very elegant but warm option for any wedding, and no chance of looking bad in the photos. The great thing about this coat is that it can be used casually afterwards with a pair of jeans so you’ve got an even bigger reason to treat yourself!
