This week our Diva is Tracey White. She has been a customer to Diva Torquay for some years and is married to Martin, who can be prone to hot flushes at the sight of Tracey carrying a Diva bag! She is a regular visitor to both stores and says she feels “compelled” to come through the door as she passes. She loves the quality of our clothes and would rather have “one nice piece than lots of cheaper bits”.On this particular visit, Tracey wanted a classic black dress for Christmas parties that would fit nicely in place and she wouldn’t have to mess about with. She fell in love with this full length “Zellie” dress from Ted Baker, £140 which looked absolutely stunning on her. We matched it up with this faux fur scarf from Full Circle, £20 and Ted Baker gem set shoes £75.Many thanks to Tracey who shows the classy and sophisticated side to Diva Torquay this week. You may have noticed the sudden drop in temperature this week; I know we have. So when we had a delivery of cute little cardigans from Saint Tropez we were thrilled. The layering effect is huge this season and these little gems are great for adding to that look. Not only do they provide extra warmth, but they come in an array of colours including red and purple, which is great for brightening up any outfit. We have a cute net layered LBD from Saint Tropez which is also great for the layering look; it can be worn with heels and some sparkly jewellery for that effortless elegant look .Alternatively, simply wear it with a lovely fitted jumper, some thick tights and a big chunky scarf to add some texture to a daytime outfit. Also in this fab new label we’ve hand picked some of this season’s key pieces – check out their high waisted skirts and skinny leg trousers. I love things that have diversity and the Saint Tropez range really does, with most of their pieces having loads of opportunities for an outing, be it as a layer in an outfit or as a single striking piece. Well there is definitely a chill in the air this week and I’m certainly reaching for the chunkiest of my knitwear. In the season of oversized cardigans, jumper dresses and knitted tunics coming through as hot looks for the cold weather, there is a fear felt by many that if you are not blessed with a figure to rival that of Miss Moss’, you may be left feeling a bit shapeless. Well the answer to this dilemma has arrived; cinch that waist in girls with a gorgeous waist belt. The softest mixes of wool, angora and cashmere in our knitwear range are fabulous when contrasted with the feel of our fantastic leather waist belts topped off with a beautiful buckle. Each week, with your permission of course, we want to photograph our customers looking gorgeous in their favourite outfits and give them a week of fame on our webpage! This week, our Diva looked so great in these looks that she was the perfect choice to start off our new feature.
Susie Lewis has been a customer for about three years. She is married with two children, Callum, 7 and Joshua, 4. When asked what brands she likes in Diva Torquay she says “all of them! But I particularly love Ted Baker and Miss Sixty.” She says the best thing about Diva is the staff who are “very polite and nice!” (Thanks Susie, the cheque’s in the post.) Her favourite girls night is a night in with a DVD and a Chinese meal, which sounds good to us.
