Not often does the love-phenomenon happen at first sight in one’s lifetime. This season it has already happened several times. Marilyn Moore, Odd Molly and Avoca Anthology are three of my new friends who I am hoping to see a lot of over the next few months… or even years. I have only met them fairly recently but already I can’t get enough of them. I love their shape, their feel and most of all I love the way they make me feel.

There may have been the odd teenage-crush making my head spin a bit and turning my world temporarily upside-down and at the time I probably thought it was love. And yes, maybe it was love… in a young sort of way. To be experienced and lived out but never destined to become a lifelong friendship.
I am not very good at discussing ‘generation ex’ so let’s just leave it at that.
The first time I well and truly tripped over the love-bug was when I first met my husband. It really was love at first sight… in a different sort of way. Something told me straight away that this was not just a passing romance but something bigger and stronger. Something not to let go of. And I didn’t. And I won’t.
When that has happened to you, and you know it is for real, you really don’t expect to have these feelings all over again with somebody else.

And there I was. Happily working away with my husband in the office one day when all these feelings came flooding back and I just knew that I had been hit by the love-bug once again.  This time it was different… Molly and Marilyn are their names and I just can’t get enough of them…

London-based Marilyn Moore is all about cashmere, camel hair and silk. Beautiful knits in luxury package. The favourite so far is the ‘Farley’ swing cardigan, grey with pattern in pink and green. The softest Italian camel hair and impossible to part from once on your body. As the season goes on expect to see cashmere tunics and long knits. We can’t wait!

Swedish Odd Molly, is our greatest success so far. Unusual designs made from lots of different fabrics, often with handmade details. The label doesn’t really see themselves as very Swedish. ‘Odd molly is a universal concerned citizen with an intercontinental playful mind that we consider at home no matter where’. We also love the way they view us normal human beings…‘you are perfect because you are not’. A little saying which simply make you feel good.

Avoca Anthology… another one close to my heart, this Irish legend is simply divine. Their clothes are a total celebration of femininity! Gorgeous fabrics, pretty knits, lovely colours and designs which are the most flattering a female body could ask for. A few new pieces just came in yesterday so please click over to have a look.

So there you go. No need to worry. My newfound loves are not a line-up of men competing to take my husband’s place. I couldn’t be happier with who I’ve got already. Neither are my new passion female human beings, so no concern-alert on that front either.
Marilyn, Molly and Avoca are of course the name of labels found on our website. Labels which I have only recently met and absolutely adore. Would love a piece of everything as it is impossible to choose. Each with their own fabulous individual style you are guaranteed to fall in love at first sight… just like I did.
