New Online Boutique Offers Effortless Thirty-Something Style
Designed to fill a gap in online fashion, getmyfashion.com is a new website dedicated to women aged 30+ who are style conscious but not necessarily complete fashion followers.
It offers an interesting combination of labels with pieces handpicked to be stylish yet flattering and wearable. You’ll find advice on key season trends and how to achieve them, as well as individual vintage pieces for a truly unique look.
“The majority of online shopping seems to cater for either extreme high fashion or top end designer,” says buyer and merchandiser, Angela Hosie. “Women of different ages and stages have different fashion needs and we have tried to create a range for the 30+ market which is on trend and stylish yet accessible and wearable too.”
“Our philosophy and aim is to be a ‘Grown-up site with grown-up fashion for the grown-up woman.’
We handpick pieces from each collection which are flattering on the female body rather than being just garments for the sake of current trends and fashion and hope that we can offer something for everyone.
“We have also included a ‘Get the look’ section which highlights the season’s trends and gives suggestions on how to put an outfit together. I love this season of contrasts. The slouchy vs skinny and both are really easy looks to wear whatever the size or shape of the woman and I love the easy blends of summer blacks, greys and frothy whites.”
The site is well designed and succinct so that customers don’t get bogged down by too much choice and can easily find clothes to create the look they want. The idea is to keep it simple yet exude a feel good factor and inspiration.
Getmyfashion is the work of well established mother and son team, Angela and Aron Hosie, who have twenty years experience in the fashion industry, with two successful retail outlets in Devon; Diva Totnes and Diva Torquay.
It is a small but successful family business and Aron is keen for this to come across:
“We want people to feel that they are getting a personal service, even though they are shopping online.
While we are competing with the big sites we want to maintain a personal touch. My wife Malin, who is a thirty-something mother-of-two herself, is even writing a weekly blog for the site called ‘Malin Reports’, which is a fun take on current fashion issues and the challenges she faces.”
Labels currently available at getmyfashion.com are; Avoca Anthology, Out of Xile, Marilyn Moore, Jackpot, French Connection, Great Plains, Firetrap, Full Circle, Diesel, Thomas Burberry, Sandwich, Farhi by Nicole Farhi, Jolie Mine, Nougat and Converse.
Priced from £25 - £250, the collections combine the need of every woman’s wardrobe of today.
